If you want to grab these, it can save you time, especially if you're building on the RPi itself. At least in theory, this should Just Work libwdl2-dev you have Windows 8.

This means it's possible to build SDL with almost any Windows compiler and have it work with a program libsdl2-drv with any other. I have tried to apt-get remove --purge libsdl2-dev but since it is not installed it cannot be removed.

I tried to reduce my repositories to just safe ones, have run apt-get update, apt-get upgrade. Get a copy of the source code, either from Mercurial or an official tarball or whatever.
